COSTUME CHECK-IN

FOR PERFORMERS IN MORE THAN ONE ROUTINE

1. Check in at the Check-In table wearing your first costume and dance shoes with hair and makeup done. If your child is in multiple routines, please refer to the Costume Change Schedule table below to view their first routine.

2. If your child is in multiple routines in this show, visit the Costume Check-In area to check in every additional costume for this show. All additional costumes must be brought on an individual hanger with dance shoes and accessories in a bag attached to the hanger. If your child has a specific pair of shoes for each routine, please ensure they are labeled with their names.

  • If your child is required to wear two different colored tights during this show (light suntan AND pink), they must layer them. They should arrive wearing the tights required for their first routine layered OVER the tights required for their second routine. This means they wear two pairs of tights. This allows for a smooth costume change for your child and our staff.

3. Head backstage and find the sign for your first routine.

4. When it’s time to change your costume, visit the Costume Team backstage to get ready for your next routine.

Can I keep my child’s costume? What happens when I don’t turn in my costume?

No, you may not keep your child’s costume, as we reuse them for each show. If you do not return the costume after the performance, you will be charged a late rental fee of $50.

Which performers qualify for a late call time and early release?

Only performers actively enrolled in one of our Preschool Creative Dance Classes are permitted for late arrival and early release. ALL other performers are required to remain backstage throughout the entire duration of the performance. Performers cannot be picked up at intermission or directly after their routine.

Why is the performer call-time 90 minutes before show time?

We take this time to walk through each of the routines on the stage to help the students get a sense of the correct spacing and to practice bows. It is important that performers are on-time.

What if my child leaves an item during the showcase? How can we get it back?

All items left at the theatre are placed in our studio lost and found. Please ensure your child has all of their belongings before leaving the theatre.
