Wellness Policy
While Stagelight Performing Arts has always provided a safe place for your kids to hone their performing skills and “live on stage,” the COVID-19 pandemic has changed some of the ways we must operate. Never has the safety of your kids, your family, and our staff been of greater concern than it is at this time. And although you can still expect the same level of care for your children in our programs, many of our policies and procedures have changed in order to maintain the highest levels of safety and compliance possible.
Together, we form an ensemble. You are part of our team. Participation in our classes and programs at Stagelight requires acceptance and cooperation of our new policies and procedures outlined below. We thank you for your help in keeping our doors open to Stagelighters for years to come!
/CHECK YOUR HEALTH FIRST
At Stagelight Performing Arts, we are dedicated to providing a healthy environment for your children and ask those experiencing symptoms of communicable illnesses to refrain from attending class.
Due to COVID-19, we can’t emphasize enough the importance of staying home if you or your child are unwell. In the last 10 days, if you or your child has been told to quarantine by a medical or government official, had a fever, or persistent dry cough or shortness of breath, we ask that you please stay home. We appreciate your care and consideration for others.
/NOURISH YOUR BRAIN & BODY BEFORE CLASS
Your kids are working hard! By the time they get to Stagelight, they’ve spent most of the day in school learning and working their brains and bodies. Then they come to class here where they continue to challenge themselves physically and mentally, so it’s important that they fuel up with nutritious food.
Please help us set your child(ren) up for success by providing a healthy snack before class–this should be a snack in addition to their normal lunch! Trust us, you’ll see a big difference in their ability to pay attention, retain choreography, and perform at high energy levels if they’ve eaten something nutritious before class.
Here are some of our favorite snack foods that will give your kids the energy boost they need before class:

Fresh fruit is a great idea for a high-carb (which = high energy!) snack on the run. Have your young performer eat a whole piece of fruit (instead of boxed juice) for a good amount of fiber, vitamins, minerals, and energy-giving natural sugars before class.
