As our current season comes to a close, we’re looking ahead to our 23/24 Season, which begins August 7, 2023, ready to shine brightly in classes and Live on Stage once more. ICYMI, our 23/24 Season registration is NOW OPEN! Our brand new schedule includes some beloved classes, some returning all-time favorites, new programs we’re excited to introduce to our performers, plus the return of SATURDAY CLASSES! Introduction to the World of Performing in Preschool Creative Dance Class
Have you ever wondered if your child is destined to Live on Stage? Are they consistently searching for the spotlight or always dancing like nobody’s watching? Well, we have the absolute perfect place for them to start! Your child’s introduction to the world of the performing arts should be full of fun, silliness, color, and imagination. If you are looking for the perfect creative outlet for your child that also gets their body moving, Preschool Creative Dance Class is your best bet. It may just become their new favorite activity!
Open to dancers ages 2.5-3, our Preschool Creative Dance Class curriculum provides developmentally-appropriate activities that capture your Preschooler’s attention, promote safe gross motor development, enhance your child’s creative development, and increase your child’s confidence while performing in front of an audience. You’ll see your child blossom in confidence, make new friends, grow stronger, and fall in love with performing in this class. You can read about our Preschool Creative Dance program here.

Go Behind-the-Scenes with Theatre Production
Has your child ever been curious about what goes on behind the scenes of their favorite stage shows or ever wondered how everything comes together to make one cohesive production?
Join us behind the scenes in Stagelight’s Theatre Production class! Students learn about all the different leading roles off-stage: Stage Management, Direction, Lighting, Audio, Costume Design, Stage Makeup and more! Throughout the duration of this class, students get hands-on experience in each of these roles while building their own prompt book. Watch them explore new creative passions by working through a specific play to find out what it takes to be a Producer!

Staff Spotlight
We have some wonderful instructors here at Stagelight Performing Arts! This week, we wanted to introduce to you the incredible instructors who teach in our Theatre Production & Preschool Creative Dance programs, along with some other classes. Meet Ms. Crystal, Ms. Mikayla, Ms. Katy, and Ms. Lindsey! Below is a sneak peek into the lives and careers of these awesome teachers. Ms. Crystal
Ms. Crystal teaches Acting and Theatre Production. Crystal has been doing Musical Theater, Dance, and Roller Skating in Orange County since she was 10 years old. She’s worked for both Tokyo Disney Resort and starred in her own 50’s Roller Skating Swing Dance show at Universal Studios Japan. She is currently a Show Director and Choreographer for Knott’s Berry Farm and a Teacher in the Musical Theater Conservatory at OCSA. |
Ms. Mikayla
Ms. Mikayla teaches Preschool Creative Dance and Tap/Ballet Combo. An original Stagelighter from 2014, Mikayla spent several years studying dance with Miss Alyssa and Miss Lindsey before heading off to college to earn her B.A. in Vocal Music and B.S. in Business Management from Biola University. She is so grateful to be back where it all began as an instructor at Stagelight this season. Mikayla enjoys applying her affinity for storytelling to a well-crafted dance class, and she is always mindful to teach purpose-driven curriculum, no matter the style. |
Ms. Katy
Ms. Katy teaches Tap/Ballet Combo, Preschool Creative Dance, HipHop, Jazz/HipHop Combo, and Musical Theatre Song & Dance. Katy has been dancing on stage since the age of five. She has studied jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, musical theater, modern, cheerleading, and gymnastics. Currently, Katy is enjoying doing what she loves most by being in the studio and watching her young students grow and develop into beautiful dancers, people and performers. |
Ms. Lindsey
Ms. Lindsey teaches Musical Theatre Song & Dance and Preschool Creative Dance. Lindsey is one of the owners of Stagelight Performing Arts. She earned her BA in Theatre Arts from Cal State Fullerton. Her performance credits include Disney, Yo Gabba Gabba, and Stagelight Family Productions. She has extensive experience in musical theatre choreography, stage management, and teaching. |
