BONNIE TERENZI
Bonnie Terenzi is a Stagelight Alumni! She is currently residing in New Jersey and is currently attending Rutgers University for a B.F.A. in Dance. Bonnie is currently working at Modern Motion Dance in Somerset, NJ as well as choreographing for the theatre groups at her school.
Bonnie studied Contemporary/Modern, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Pointe, Musical Theatre, Group Vocal, Private Vocal, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Improvisation, Acting, Acting for Camera, Sketch Comedy, and A Cappella at Stagelight. Working on the “Naughty” choreography in Ms. Lindsey’s Musical Theatre class was one of Bonnie’s favorite in class memories. It was either the first or second year the studio was open, and while they never got to perform it on stage, it is still a combo that Bonnie thinks about often and remember bits and pieces of! Performing “On the Floor” as her final number at Bonnie’s last Stagelight Showcase in 2021 is her favorite on-stage memory with Stagelight. Performing alongside her friends, dancing a complex and high-energy piece, and smiling from cheek to cheek the entire time is a number that is hard to forget for Bonnie!
Stagelight not only gave Bonnie the technical skills she use daily in both her professional and academic life, but it also taught her valuable life skills like the importance of learning someone’s name, how important encouragement can be towards peers and students, and how valuable a love of the arts can be in a child’s life.
