Lauren McNair began studying dance at the age of 4 at The Dance Spot in Fullerton, CA. She trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and hiphop. She spent 12 years competing locally and nationally and won numerous top awards. Lauren began her teaching career at the age of 17, teaching her first tap/ballet combo class at the Dance Spot. Lauren is a proud graduate of Chapman University as a Theater/Dance major with an emphasis in Dance Performance, training in jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, modern, Pilates, and choreography and a minor in Mathematics. She also holds her secondary teaching credential from Chapman as well as her MA in Secondary Education from Cal State University of Fullerton. While studying for her BA, she was a member of Tap Overload as well as started her 8r years of teaching at local dance studios in Orange County. She was a math teacher at Canyon High School for 3 years before moving to her alma mater of Fullerton Union High School where she taught dance for 10 years. She is currently a mom of 2 boys and looks forward to sharing her love of dance with the students at Stagelight!
