MICHAEL BRIAN

Born and raised in Glendale, California, Michael was an avid sports player up until high school. He had ambitions to play soccer but after getting cut from tryouts his freshman year, he auditioned for the spring musical, West Side Story and landed the breakout role of “Other Jet #2”. Needless to say, he was bitten by the dancing bug and never looked back.
Michael is an established director, choreographer, teacher and former actor and casting director. His professional stage credits include Spot Conlon in the Los Angeles Regional Premiere of NEWSIES at La Mirada Theatre (Ovation Nomination); Cosmo Brown in SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN at Pechanga Resort and Casino; Lead Tapper at Knott’s Berry Farm; Andy Lee and Ensemble in 42ND STREET at Candlelight Pavilion and 3-D Theatricals; Bryan in EMPTY HANDS (World Premiere at Boston Court, directed by Kay Cole). On the creative side, his work can be seen on the Emmys, American Housewife (ABC), Bob’s Burgers (Fox); Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (Marvel); Primo (Freevee); Superstore (NBC); Central Park (Apple).
Michael currently teaches tap at AMDA and is also a respected acting/audition coach. He has taught masterclasses and workshops around the country for private institutions and universities in cities such as New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, Phoenix and more.
