Lindsey Russo earned her BA in Theatre Arts from Cal State Fullerton. Her performance credits include Disney, Yo Gabba Gabba, and Stagelight Family Productions. She has extensive experience in musical theatre choreography, stage management, and teaching.

“Growing up in the theatre has given me the confidence to achieve so many professional and personal goals. In school, I was always proud to give presentations or speak in class, and this has continued into my adult life, allowing me to be successful in many different endeavors. I hope to instill this love for the theatre in your children. The theatre ‘bug’ bit me when I was 4 years old and has never gone away. Being able to see the spark ignite in so many young children throughout the years of Stagelight Family Productions is a true testament to the benefits of live theatre. Being able to bring this into a learning environment with Stagelight Performing Arts fulfills what is lacking in our schools and allows children to study technique and art in a way that is encouraging and rewarding. What do you love most about your job?

I love seeing performers grow over the years, being a part of their lives and sharing my passion for performing.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love hanging out with my family, going to the river or beach, seeing shows, vacation of any kind and eating yummy food!

What are 3 fun facts about you?

I was once a famous robot, I met Ms. Alyssa while we were dancing in the parade at Disneyland, I am pretty good at ASL (once upon a time I would say I was fluent)

Why did you choose to pursue a career in your field?

I love teaching because it allows me to share my love and passion for the theatre with so many kiddos!

If you weren’t a teacher, what other job could you see yourself pursuing?

Real Estate

What’s your favorite musical, movie, and/or show?

For movies my favorites are Singing in the Rain, Wizard of Oz and my favorite TV show is The Office!
