Ms. Dancer is thrilled to be teaching at Stagelight! She has been doing Musical Theater, Dance, and Roller Skating in Orange County since she was 10 years old. Crystal attended Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) in their Musical Theater Conservatory. She also danced down the streets of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure for 15 years. She’s worked for both Tokyo Disney Resort and starred in her own 50’s Roller Skating Swing Dance show at Universal Studios Japan. She is currently a Show Director and Choreographer for Knott’s Berry Farm and a Teacher in the Musical Theater Conservatory at OCSA.

What do you love most about your job?

I love using my imagination and I love working with kids. This job combines both and I am so excited to join the team.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love performing stand up and Improv comedy, going to the beach with my family, snorkeling, and ice skating

What are 3 fun facts about you?

1. I grew up performing in ice skating shows where I learned about performing in front of all kinds of audiences, hosting shows, and taking care of costumes.

2. I’m from Florida but went to acting school in New York before moving to LA to pursue comedy and acting.

3. I love using silly voices whenever possible.

Why did you choose to pursue a career in your field?

Performing has always been a huge part of my life. My parents were performers, and growing up around the arts inspired my own love for theatre and performance. I truly enjoy every aspect of performing, and I’m excited to share that passion with students while helping them grow in confidence, creativity, and self-expression.

If you weren’t a teacher, what other job could you see yourself pursuing?

Stand up & improv comedy

I love Hairspray, SIX, Hamilton and SNL
