Cosette Lyncheski

Private Vocal and Musical Theatre Song & Dance

Cosette Lyncheski is a versatile and experienced vocalist with a rich background in classical, theatrical, and liturgical music. She has served as a cantor and section leader for almost two decades and has performed with professional vocal ensembles, bringing skill, sensitivity, and artistry to a wide range of musical settings.

In addition to her extensive work as a soloist and ensemble singer, Cosette is an accomplished stage performer with years of theatrical experience. She trained in theatre at Wagner College and studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), further enriching her dynamic performance style.

Now part of Stagelight Performing Arts, Cosette is passionate about sharing the joy of music with students of all ages. She brings a warm, engaging, and supportive approach to teaching, helping each student grow in confidence, technique, and personal expression.

I just started this year!
 
What do you love most about your job?
I love sharing my passion for music and performance with others—whether it’s helping a student discover their voice for the first time or watching their confidence grow through musical theatre. It’s a joy to witness those lightbulb moments when everything clicks.
 
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy taking long walks, playing board games with friends, traveling, and doing improv. I love anything that sparks creativity and connection.
 
What are 3 fun facts about you?
I used to work as a librarian and still have a deep love for books, research, and finding the perfect reading material for someone.

I recently moved to California from New Jersey and desperately miss the pizza. Please share your favorite pizza places!

Why did you choose to pursue a career in your field?
I loved the problem solving that came along with learning and performing music, and when you love what you do for work, then it’s not work!
 
If you weren’t a teacher, what other job could you see yourself pursuing?
I’d return to being a librarian! I love creating welcoming spaces where people can learn, explore, and grow.
 
What’s your favorite musical, movie, and/or show?
Les Miserables – I never get tired of the gorgeous music and powerful story. I always bring tissues!
