CURTAIN CALL & COSTUME COLLECTION

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

If my child chooses not to perform, is it pointless to stay enrolled in class? No! Participating in the rehearsal process is an important aspect of any performing arts education. Your child continues to gain important technical skill during the rehearsal process.

My child is in more than one class; why couldn’t all his classes be in the same show? We have many families at Stagelight who take a variety of classes. It is impossible to make sure every student gets his/her classes in the same show. Thank you for your support and understanding!

Can I pick my child up early from Dress Rehearsal or the Showcase? No. Our supervising staff & volunteers cannot do early release arrangements while supervising and preparing the students for performance.

Can my child watch the second half of the show with me if they’re only in the first half? No. It is very important that all performers remain backstage during the entire performance. All performers participate in Curtain Call and costume return at the closing of the show.

What color dance shoes does my child need? Black tap shoes, pink ballet shoes, black or tan jazz shoes, depending on which classes they are in.
